Another study was conducted in the year 2017 involving people involved with mixed martial arts. This study revealed that nearly 2.38 million people over the age of six years and above were involved with mixed martial arts for fitness. Parents that struggle to get young children active should look to Muay Thai and martial arts if other sports fail!

Across the globe, more and more people are gaining an interest in combat sports in general. The UFC recently sold for a huge amount of money because the demand is so high for this type of sport. Therefore, it is easy to understand why some parents let their children get involved with mixed martial arts in sparring formats that are safe. Children will actually look forward to being active during the day rather than sulking and hating physical activity.
